W G CHANNONW G Channon was the minister at Spurgeon's Tabernacle from 1944 until 1949 when he began a 15 yearpastorate at Purley Baptist church where he saw the church grow from 175 to over 500.
During that time many entered in to fruitful Christian life and leadership in churches, on the mission field, in public service, and business. I was fortunate to have had him as an 'uncle' as a child and early teen. |
