tHE BIGGEST MISSION - EVER!
Things were good when the earth was created! The planet and all its creatures were in harmony with one another and with its creator. It all looked very good, and it WAS good. Actually it was PERFECT!
The creator himself speaking of that time says 'the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy' What an amazing picture!
The world we see today displays glimpses of that wonderful creation in its beauty, but sadly our gaze is also filled with a spoiled and scarred creation. Even more sadly we see, and are affected by, the spoiling of men and women. Anger, envy, violence, greed, oppression, war, hurt, disappointment, hatred, broken families and the list goes on. We are all affected, and if we are truthful, not only suffer from the problem, but are part of the problem.
So the creator's plan to have a world where the creatures that he had made to be the subject of his love and friendship, and exercise on his behalf, rule and authority, were the very ones that messed it up in the most spectacular and wicked way. It wasn't the birds, the bees, the trees, the mountains, the seas, the animals. It was man. Man who was the very pinnacle of the creation, decided that he knew better than the one who had created him.
What to do? Start again? Wipe out this distressed world and annihilate planet earth?
Was it, is it, possible to repair the damage, to put things right? or is that Mission Impossible?
This website explores the question, and the conviction of many that the mission of rescuing the world is indeed possible and the single most important, activity in the world today.
Has this any personal implications for us as individuals? Can I be involved in the mission? Is there any hope?
